The Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS) successfully hosted its annual Networking Event on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, at the Central Courtyard. The event brought together students and representatives from over 20 leading organizations across diverse sectors, creating valuable opportunities for professional engagement and career exploration.

The evening kicked off with an insightful conversation between Dr. Ali Khan, Dean of MGSHSS, Dr. Ali Raza, Chair of the HSS Department, Dr. Hadia Majid, Chair of the CNM Department of Economics, and industry leaders, setting the tone for meaningful discussions on career trajectories, industry trends, and the evolving job market.

Students engaged in meaningful conversations with organizational representatives, exploring internship opportunities, market requirements, recruitment processes, and career pathways spanning education, development, banking, media, healthcare IT, retail, telecommunications, and various other sectors.

MGSHSS extends its appreciation to the MGSHSS Career Centre and the LUMS Career Services Office for organizing this valuable networking platform that strengthens the bridge between academia and industry.

Participating Organizations:

The event featured prominent organizations including MCB Bank Limited, Packages Group Limited, Teach For Pakistan, The Citizens Foundation (TCF), Beaconhouse Group, and Aitchison College from the education sector. Leading companies from healthcare and pharmaceuticals such as Bayer, Syngenta, and CCL Pharmaceuticals participated alongside media organizations including Dunya News.

Development and research organizations were represented by WWF-Pakistan, CERP, Evidence Matters, COLABS, and IPS Pakistan. The corporate and technology sectors included Carnelian, Intellia, MAF Carrefour Pakistan, Wateen Telecom Limited, Fauji Foods Limited, IDP Education Ltd, Akademos, and Abacus Group.
