The workshop initiated with a detailed introduction to the Hin script, emphasizing its importance in the context of South Asian culture and literature. Dr. Rasheed provided an engaging overview of South Asian mythology, exploring its impact on language and identity. Participants were introduced to significant myths and legends, focusing on the Māhābhārata and Rāmāyan. In the broader South Asian cultural context, this discussion illuminated how these epic narratives have shaped Hin literature. Students also learned the foundational letters of the Hin alphabet through interactive exercises, including written practice to improve their writing skill.

In the second session, the focus shifted to the intricacies of Hin grammar and sentence construction, which are vital for effective communication. Dr. Rasheed introduced essential grammatical structures, including noun-verb agreements, tense usage, and sentence types. Participants also read selected poems from the Hīn Qāid’ah, enhancing their understanding of poetic forms and techniques while reinforcing grammatical concepts through real-life examples.

The final two sessions were dedicated to advanced reading techniques and comprehensive revision of the material covered. An extensive reading package featuring diverse texts was introduced, aimed at enhancing the reading fluency. Students engaged in group discussions about the texts, focusing on themes, vocabulary, and cultural significance, in a collaborative learning environment. The last session primarily focused on revising key grammar rules and writing techniques through practical exercises and peer discussions.
