Nadir Shahzad is an acclaimed filmmaker, singer-songwriter, and mainstay of the Pakistani music industry. As the frontman for his band Sikandar ka Mandar, he has been involved in making music and directing videos for over a decade, before he branched out into his solo career with “Atomy Event”. He was nominated for a Lux Style Award for directing “Baaghi” by Sikandar ka Mandar and has directed “Zom Com” which won Pakistan’s 48-hour film competition in 2018. His latest music video is “Bojh,” a collaboration with Natasha Noorani.
Komal Ahmad is a London-based filmmaker with a rapidly growing oeuvre of work. As assistant director on Coke Studio Season 14, she worked on top hits such as “Pasoori” and “Muaziz Sarif”. She also directed the vibrant music video for RFB X Jajji Jee’s “Pairi Kuri”.
Natasha Noorani is a musician who has successfully made a name for herself in Pakistan’s indie-pop scene. As co-founder of Lahore Music Meet (LMM) and once the manager for Strings as well as at Coke Studio, she has also contributed to the music industry behind the scenes. Noorani has served as executive producer on all her music videos and has co-directed her MV for “Choro” and “Trace”. In total, her music videos have amassed over a million YouTube views.
Zayan Agha is a Forbes-featured filmmaker who works at Slugline Films. Agha has collaborated with heavyweights in the local indie scene, directing music videos for Abdul Hannan’s “Gawara,” Rozeo’s “Fitoor,” and The Tamashbeens’ “Lighter Machis”. A graduate of the National College of Arts (NCA), his short film “The Round Lake,” which he directed, won a grant under the Novo Amor 565 Fund this year.
