The Pedagogical Partnership Program (PPP) at LUMS Learning Institute
The Pedagogical Partnership Program (PPP) at LUMS Learning Institute empowers students to collaborate with faculty to enhance teaching practices and course design. In Fall 2024, 2 projects from MGSHSS will be featured! With students working as partners to improve course delivery, develop content, and engage in research. This year’s PPP theme is AI Incubator, an experimental opportunity for the faculty to see how AI fits in with their teaching and learning activities.
Faculty Member Natasha Barlas will be working with Mina Shoaib on Designing a 300-level course: "Psychology of Intelligence" This course will be crafted to make complex psychological theories and academic knowledge engaging and accessible to undergraduate students. Ms. Barlas and Mina Shoaib will address the common challenge where instructors possess extensive knowledge but struggle to make the content engaging and comprehensible for students.
Another project selected from the School is by Ms. Farhana Shahzad & Hafsah Nauman who will be working on a Thematic Writing & Communication (GWE) Course. Ms. Shahzad & Hafsah Nauman aim to redesign the Thematic Writing & Communication Course - Genesis of World Englishes. Acknowledging that students will employ Al and other technology for the sake of ease they will redesign in-class activities and assessments that incorporate the use of Al ethically.
