Fizza Suhail teaches about and researches issues of mental health and inclusion/exclusion in schools, trauma-informed approaches, and child development in adverse conditions. She is a Fulbright Scholar and holds an MSEd in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania.

Her work bridges education and clinical practice. She is also a trauma-informed, integrative counselor, supporting adolescents and young adults through complex trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression, among other issues. As an educator, researcher, and clinician, Fizza takes a systems approach, examining how the structures surrounding young people, whether through their oppressiveness or their strengths, shape mental health and development outcomes.
