Psychology

The psychology programme presents students with a wide range of psychological thought and research on the behaviour and inner life of human beings and other animals. Although classical theories are included, the emphasis is on the teaching of psychology as a modern empirical science rooted in the experimental method. The programme offers courses in both applied and experimental areas of the field, such as abnormal and counselling psychology as well as learning theory, cognition, memory, perception, social psychology, and research methods, thereby providing students with a sound background in the fundamentals of the field.
