Ali Usman Qasmi publishes edited volume with Cambridge University Press

Ali Usman Qasmi, Assistant Professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, recently published a co-edited volume titled Muslims against the Muslim League: Critiques of the Idea of Pakistan (Cambridge University Press, 2017). His co-editor is Megan Eaton Robb (Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies). According to the publisher, by “focusing on the critiques of the Muslim League, its concept of the Muslim nation, and the political settlement demanded on its behalf, [the book] studies how the movement for Pakistan inspired a contentious, influential conversation on the definition of the Muslim nation.”
