About Speaker:

Dr. Melinda Gurr is a cultural anthropologist who completed her PhD at Syracuse University, and most recently, her post-doctoral research in partnership with Syracuse University and King's College. Her research focuses on young activists in progressive rural and urban Brazilian social movements.
