About Speaker:

Dr. Umair Javed is Assistant Professor in Politics at the Mushtaq Ahmed Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS). He holds a PhD in political sociology from the London School of Economics. Dr. Javed’s doctoral dissertation focused on class power, practices of accumulation, and labour relations in Pakistan's informal economy, with a specific focus on the retail-wholesale (bazaar) sector.
