Keynote Talk by

Dr. Sadia Abbas

Dr. Sadia Abbas is an Associate Professor in Rutgers University-Newark’s English department. She specializes in postcolonial literature and theory, the culture and politics of Islam in modernity, early modern English literature—especially the literature of religious strife—and the history of 20th-century criticism. Dr. Abbas has published two books and twenty articles on literature and theory. Her first book At Freedom’s Limit was a Co-winner of the MLA First Book Prize and her second book The Empty Room was shortlisted for the DSC South Asian Literature Prize.
