The Humanities and Social Sciences Department at LUMS is organising first talk of the seminar series and the first event of the Spring semester 2020 titled "Convinced about knowing little': the paradoxes of colonial knowledge in the Linguistic Survey of India 1903-1928" by Prof. Javed Majeed.

About the Speaker: Prof. Javed Majeed teaches at King's College London. His published work focuses on aspects of modern South Asian intellectual and literary history. His two volume study Nation and Region in Grierson's Linguistic Survey of India and Colonialism and Knowledge in Grierson's Linguistic Survey of India was published last year by Routledge."
